The title isn't a truth. No. Nope. I promise. It is merely a very sneaky, very misleading phrase used by companies to entice you into their human resources department, to scour their website for key 'case studies', to memorise every minute news piece from their industry, to give you hope of the Big Break, only to mockingly reject you. For being a Grad.
Well, sort of.
It is a funny thing being a recent grad. And by funny I mean unfair and weird. But hey ho depends on your sense of humour eh?
Ok so this blog isn't meant to be all gloom and doom, although I won't lie (unlike recruiters), that is the background vibe.
I am one of the unfortunate recent grads. Unfortunate in that I didn't get a 'grad scheme' nor gain valuable work experience every university holiday. Nah, wasn't for me. I was busy having fun. Silly me (Like I actually do feel a bit silly now).
Me in job interviews:
I feel I now at the point where my life and career failures are so hilarious (read: depressing) and confusing (read: really, really confusing) that they have to be shared. Because I know there are plenty of people in the same situation. And that makes it slightly better (only slightly, like I'm still unemployed ya'know?).
